Leah Simmons, Ph.D., ICPS

Leah Simmons has over 19 years of experience in private sector private investigations, OSINT, cold case research and consulting, crisis planning and mitigation, risk management, harm reduction, policy writing, security surveys, crime prevention, management, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.

Leah has a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Intelligence from the University of North Georgia. She has academic and practical publications for criminal justice and is consistently working on adding to the world of literature.

Currently, Leah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Forensic Investigation at Jacksonville State
University in Jacksonville, AL. At Jacksonville State University, Leah is active as a faculty member and a member of the community, serving as an advisor for various organizations, such
as Zeta Tau Alpha (over 15 years) and Student Organ Donation Advocates (founding advisor).

Leah is actively involved as a professor in the classroom, involving students in practical applications, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and real-life situations.

Leah is designated as an International Crime Prevention Specialist by the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners. She previously served on the ISCPP board as Secretary, Vice-President, and currently as President Elect.
