Eric Wilson, ICPS

Eric Wilson is an Applied Criminologist and Pracademic whose teaching spans across multiple universities in Australia and internationally since 2007. He is a Fellow and Associate Fellow (Indigenous Knowledges) of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Australian Security Association Limited (ASIAL), demonstrating his commitment to advancing the security industry in Australia and crime prevention efforts.

Eric has trained, supervised, and overseen over 2,100 student surface-level community security risk assessments for public and private organisations. He is the Oceania Director-at-Large for the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners and is an International Crime Prevention Specialist with this organisation. He holds a Master of Arts in Criminology & Criminal Justice, a Master of Teaching, and a Graduate Certificate in Crime and Violence Prevention from Griffith University. He also holds a variety of ATQF qualifications in training, security, and investigations.

Eric has co-authored articles and chapters in the area of security and crime prevention. Eric is always working on continuing his education and currently holds 17 post-secondary degrees and qualifications. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his young family and his fur baby, Turbo.
